 ARCA-SWISS monoball® Z1g+ dp (double pan)

Since the introduction of the monoball® B1 series over forty years ago, ARCA-SWISS monoball® tripod heads have been the leader in quality, strength and performance. In 2006, ARCA-SWISS introduced the Z series to replace the now legendary B series.

In 2013, ARCA-SWISS again improved all aspects of the well-known monoball® Z1g, packing even more features into the lighter and tighter monoball®. The Z1g+ is 30% smaller and lighter than its predecessor, weighing in at 2.1 lb /960 g, without a loss in its leveraged weight capacity of more than 200 lbs. 

monoball® Z1g+ guarantees smooth movement and accurate positioning of the camera. The Motion Related Gravity Control (MRGC), a variable and bi-directional drag, is independently operative on both axes and stabilized in all directions  – and with horizontal movement, the resulting friction remains constant, whereas with vertical movements the friction increases progressively.

Safe-holding support, along with subtle movement is crucial in the design of a tripod head. This intelligent engineering and precision manufacturing results in a monoball® any photographer can use with confidence.

monoball® Z1g+ incorporates two panning mechanisms — one at the base of the head and the other above the ball. Once the camera is leveled, the Z1+ dp top panning mechanism allows level horizontal panning irrespective of the tripod placement. Top paning is ideal for panoramic, sports, and wildlife photography, where subject tracking or level panoramas need capturing.

The new monoball® Z1g+ is available in *single pan (sp) or double pan (dp) models, with a choice of Classic or flipLock®, quick release.
