ARCA-SWISS clicPan® tripod heads, the essential tool for creating panoramic images, provide a multi-functional solution for both advanced amateurs and professional photographers.
Design and performance
The clicPan® mechanism is lightweight and low in profile, adding only two ounces of weight and 10 mm of height to a standard p1+ head. Capable of handling the greater demands of heavy telephoto lenses or medium and large format cameras, the monoball® p1+ cp provides a load capacity of 66 lbs / 30 kg.
The new "+" friction control from Arca-Swiss provides ease of use and additional security for all types of cameras and telephoto lenses. To adjust the sensitivity threshold for movement, simply use the monoball® locking ring to set more or less tension and lock the desired amount of resistance using the friction locking wheel. This allows for precise adjustments according to the weight and leverage load of the camera, giving you complete control and stability for all types of photography.
Panoramic functionality
The clicPan® adjustment ring provides a simple and efficient way to set up and adjust the tripod head for panoramic captures. With ten positions on the lower scale, ranging from 40° (9 stops) to 6° (60 stops), photographers can easily switch between free panning mode for single captures, or quickly adjust to clicPan® mode for panoramic captures. Once the camera is leveled, the top panning design will ensure level panning without the need to adjust the tripod legs when working on uneven ground.
Ease of use
Select one of the panoramic interval positions by rotating the white index mark on the clicPan® adjustment ring until the index mark is aligned with the chosen interval setting. The adjustment ring turns in either direction, stopping at each setting position. Once a setting is chosen, the camera will pan in equal increments, providing a tactile and audible “clic” stop at each interval. Simply pan the camera to the next detent and stop. You will feel and hear the audible “clic” at every detent interval.
Convenience and compatibility
Photographers may now reliably shoot single-row panoramas without extra gear or create multi-row panoramas using one of our Pan System accessories with a nodal rail. The panoramic accessories are compact, can be quickly collapsed, and convenient to carry in any photo bag. The clicPan® tripod heads are available with a choice of quick release: monoball®Fix, Classic, and flipLock®.
