ARCA-SWISS monoball® Z1+ dp (double pan)

Since the introduction of the B1 series over forty years ago, ARCA-SWISS monoball® tripod heads have been the leader in quality, strength and performance. In 2006, ARCA-SWISS introduced the Z series to replace the now legendary B series. 

The Z1 series was not only lighter and smaller but also more stable. In addition to the proven, patented ARCA-SWISS features, including an aspherical ball, axial clamping and PMF (progressive motion related friction control), the Z1 series feaured new technical developments plus optimized materials and coatings. The Z1 series can withstand an incredible 130 lbs (59 kg) off-axis.

The ARCA-SWISS monoball® Z1+ is the latest tripod head in the monoball® Z family. Following the introduction of the Z1G+, the new Z1+ will benefit equally from the further refined MRGC or “Motion Related Gravity Control” system. MRGC is a variable bi-directional drag system that operates independently on both axes, but is stabilized in all directions.

With horizontal movements, the friction setting of the ball head remains the same, whereas vertical movements take advantage of the aspherical ball which leads to a progressive increase of friction as the camera & lens is tipped forward or back. This increase makes our ball head the safest available!

Intelligent engineering and precise manufacturing guarantee a well distributed radial grip force to provide a strong hold, while simultaneously allowing smooth and accurate positioning of the camera.

The new monoball® Z1+ is available in single pan (sp) or double pan (dp) models. When using the monoball® Z1+ dp, use base panning to establish a composition. Next level the camera with the monoball®. Once leveled, Z1+ dp top panning mechanism will provide level horizontal panning irrespective of the tripod placement.
