Developed by Phase One Industrial, the X-Shutter is a robust electronic leaf shutter designed for durability and reliability, and is rated for over 500,000 shutter actuations. The X-Shutter features a sturdy housing and can be used as a replacement for Copal 0 leaf shutters. It is available when ordered with a new Rodenstock lens and can also be retrofitted to a selection of existing lenses from Rodenstock or Schneider.

The X-Shutter provides strobe syncing for high shutter speeds to 1/1000, lens metadata transfer to the IQ4 150, and additional features of the IQ4, such as auto bracketing, 1/3 stop aperture increments, aperture or shutter priority modes, opening the lens for live view and more.

The X-Shutter is powered and controlled directly by the Phase One IQ4 150 digital back, eliminating the need for an external power source. When using X-Shutter on ARCA-SWISS cameras, a 12 pin to 12 pin cable is required to provide communication and power between the shutter housing and the digital back, allowing the shutter speed and aperture to be controlled from the IQ4.

The X-Shutter is specifically designed to be compatible with Phase One IQ4 digital backs or newer.
